1. This medication will be shipped to you from Rush Pharmacy.
2. Injection supplies are included.
3. The current shipping time is around 7-10 business days.
4. It will arrive to you cool and will need to be kept in the refrigerator.
5. Each vial contains 5 weeks of either the 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, or 10mg dose. For the 12.5mg and 15mg doses, you will receive 4 weeks.
   
6. The 10mg and 12.5mg doses both use the exact same vial, so they are the same price. The vial has 50mg total, so 5 weeks of the 10mg dose or 4 weeks of the 12.5mg dose.
7. The 5 lower doses use one vial, the 12.5mg/10mg/ml vial. The highest dose (15mg) uses a separate vial, the 20mg/10mg/ml vial.
8. The units you inject will vary depending on your dose. Please also note that the 15mg dose is in a more concentrated vial than the lower doses (see above), so the units you inject will not match the other doses.
9. You MUST order the dosage you intend to take, as these vials should be used for 4-5 punctures only.
10. Patients should discard their vial after the 4th or 5th puncture. The BUD on your vials are 38-40 days after your receive them if left unpunctured. To make sure you are able to use all of your medication within that timeframe, please order only ONE VIAL at a time.

DOSING:

*TZ/L-CARNITINE 12.5mg/100mg/ml

2.5mg: 20units (0.2ml)

5mg: 40units (0.4ml)

7.5mg: 60units (0.6ml)

10mg: 80units (0.8ml)

12.5mg: 100 units (1ml)

*TZ/L-CARNITINE 20mg/100mg/ml

15mg: 75 units (0.75ml)

New patients not previously on an injectable weight loss medication will start at the 2.5mg for the first 4 weeks. You may then move up to the 5mg dose for the next 4 weeks, then 7.5mg for 4 weeks, etc. However, you do NOT have to move up in dosing until you are ready. If you are having successful weight loss on a certain dose, you do not have to move up. Also, if you are having significant side effects on a dose, you should spend another 4 weeks on your current dose before you move up.

Joint Commission guidelines for proper use of many multi-dose vials include the recommendation to discard the vial 4 weeks after first puncture, even though the Beyond Use Date (BUD) may be longer. These guidelines are generally followed in office and hospital settings, particularly when the vial is used for multiple different patients. However, this same suggestion is made for vials punctured several times a day or only once a week. With certain vial sizes/doses/packages, using all of the medication in the vial without wasting any could result in a patient using the vial for longer than 28 days after first puncture. If you choose to use your vial longer than 28 days after first puncture due to package size or maintenance dosing, you must acknowledge that you understand the Joint Commission recommendations to discard the vial 28 days after first puncture, even if you only puncture the vial once a week. You will be using the vial at your own discretion.
