DOSAGE:
50mg dose = 0.25ml (25 units)
100mg dose = 0.5ml (50 units)
*DIRECTIONS ON YOUR VIAL: Inject 100mg (50 units/0.5ml) subcutaneously up to three times a week. There are 12 injections of the 100mg dose in the vial. Injecting 100mg three times a week would yield a four-week supply.
*Some patients may choose to inject 50mg (25 units) three times a week at first, but please note that the BUD on the vial is 45 days (likely 35 days after you receive it) and your last few injections may be after that date. Also, please note the Joint Commission guidelines at the bottom of the page.
WHAT IS NAD+?
Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide is a form of Vitamin B3 (niacin). This coenzyme is found in the mitochondria of all living cells. This coenzyme is heavily involved in DNA repair and cellular remodeling. It has been known to “ turn off” those genes that accelerate degenerative aging and is essential for maintaining neurotransmitter levels for the proper functioning of the brain. It is key in cellular metabolism. As we age, our NAD levels decrease making us less able to repair cellular damage. We begin to lose energy, appear older and have decreased brain function. NAD+ plays a significant role in anti-aging. With NAD+ IV therapy and the NAD+ IM Shot, the molecule works rapidly to repair cells throughout the body and neurons in the brain. It serves as a catalyst in ultimate brain restoration which assists in overcoming depression, anxiety, and common mood disorders. Restoring and supplementing NAD+ in the body may improve physical appearance, health, and quality of life.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF NAD+
Supplementation of NAD+ can:
â—Ź increase energy levels
â—Ź enhance mood & mental clarity
â—Ź reverse the visible effects of aging
â—Ź reduce fatigue
â—Ź restore muscle function and athletic performance
â—Ź restore brain chemistry and neurotransmitter function
â—Ź prevent & correct damage to DNA
â—Ź regulate inflammation that damages DNA
â—Ź improve physical appearance, health, and quality of life
CONTRAINDICATIONS/PRECAUTIONS:
There are really no reported contraindications or precautions for NAD+ injections. It has a relatively high safety profile, and is generally tolerated well in most patients.
Joint Commission guidelines for proper use of many multi-dose vials include the recommendation to discard the vial 4 weeks after first puncture, even though the Beyond Use Date (BUD) may be longer. These guidelines are generally followed in office and hospital settings, particularly when the vial is used for multiple different patients. However, this same suggestion is made for vials punctured several times a day or only once a week. With certain vial sizes/doses/packages, using all of the medication in the vial without wasting any could result in a patient using the vial for longer than 28 days after first puncture. If you choose to use your vial longer than 28 days after first puncture due to package size or maintenance dosing, you must acknowledge that you understand the Joint Commission recommendations to discard the vial 28 days after first puncture, even if you only puncture the vial once a week. You will be using the vial at your own discretion.
If you have any concerns about this issue and for best safety practices, please choose a 4-week package and discard any medication leftover 28 days after first puncture.
