SOME NOTES ABOUT THESE ORAL TROCHES:

• This is a daily troche (as opposed to a weekly injection). It should be dissolved in your cheek in the morning 15 minutes away from food and water.
• These troches come in three doses of sema: 1mg, 1.5mg, or 2mg. New patients would use each dose for a month before moving up.
  
• Each troche also has 0.1mg of B12 and 12.5mg of pyridoxine (B6).
• The INJECTABLE forms of sema is more effective than any oral form. The bioavailability versus the injectable form varies, and you will not see results as quickly as you do with the injectable form.
• However, these are an excellent alternative for people who do not want to use the injectable form of sema. For those who have difficulty tolerating even the lowest doses of the injectable form, this would be another option for you.
• There has been no proven benefit to using both the oral and injectable forms of these medications, so you would choose one or the other. You may not use these troches with injectable sema or TZ.
• This makes an excellent maintenance choice for patients transitioning from both injectable sema and TZ.

DOSING: Dissolve one mini troche in your cheek every morning, 15 minutes away from food and water.

1) New patients to weight loss medications: You would take each dose for a month before moving up to the next dose (if desired). I would not recommend ordering more than a 30-day supply of the same dose (except the max dose) if you are still in the weight loss phase because you will likely want to continue up to the maximum dose.

2) If you have been on the injectable form of semaglutide or tirzepatide (any dose) within the past 30 days, you will likely need the maximum dose (2mg). If you had trouble tolerating the injectable form, you should order the 1mg or 1.5mg dose.

3) Patients using these as maintenance medications will likely need the max 2mg dose.
